This page explains what information the studio collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It also sets out the basic terms for using this website.
What the studio collects
When you send an enquiry through the site, the studio collects the details you give: your name, email address, your organisation if you add one, the kind of work you need, and anything you write in the message.
When you book a meeting, the studio collects your name, email address and any notes, and creates a calendar event so a video call link can be sent to you.
The site also stores a small preference in your browser to remember whether you chose the light or dark theme. That preference stays on your device and is not sent anywhere.
How the studio uses it
Your details are used to reply to your enquiry, to arrange and run any meeting you book, and to keep a record of our correspondence. The studio does not sell your information and does not use it for advertising.
Who it is shared with
Enquiries are stored with the site host and sent to the studio by email. Meeting bookings are created in the studio Google Calendar, which sends you the invitation and the video call link. These providers process the information only to deliver those services.
The studio does not share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.
Cookies and tracking
The site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The only thing kept in your browser is the theme preference described above, which is functional rather than tracking.
How long it is kept
Enquiries and booking records are kept for as long as they are needed to respond and to hold a reasonable business record. You can ask for your information to be removed at any time.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the personal information the studio holds about you, and ask for it to be corrected. To make a request, email the address below. The studio will respond within a reasonable time.
Security
The studio takes reasonable steps to protect your information, including secure hosting and access controls. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so the studio cannot promise absolute security.
Using this website
The content on this site, including text, images, film and design, belongs to Phil Botha Creative unless stated otherwise. You are welcome to view and share it, but please do not reproduce it for commercial use without permission.
The site is provided as is, without warranty, and the studio is not liable for any loss arising from its use. Links to other sites are offered for convenience, and the studio is not responsible for their content. These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
